Through accessing our website and/or submitting an enquiry through the website you are consenting to the collection, retention and use of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this notice. What is personal data? Personal data

Where did QMS obtain my personal data from?
- Personal details (such as your name, e-mail) which you provide by submitting an enquiry via the website or when you sign up to The Scotch Kitchen newsletter or subscribe to our other services.
- How you use the website and any other information you post, e-mail or otherwise send to us.
- IP addresses – we may collect information where available about your IP (internet protocol) address, operating system and browser type. This data provides us with information about users’ browsing actions and patterns. It is used to inform improvements to the website and for internal system administration.
Scotchkitchen.com does not set any cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you. If this should change in the future, we will inform visitors and provide guidance on how to control and delete these cookies.
This site does use a third-party analytics company (Google Analytics) to provide anonymous visitor statistics to enable us to improve the performance of our website. This analytics function sets its own cookies to perform this service. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. This information cannot be used to identify who you are, and we do not allow Google to use or share our analytics data.

Your personal data will be stored on The Scotch Kitchen’s secure server. Why is QMS processing my personal data?
QMS is processing your personal data for the purposes of promoting Scotch Beef PGI, Scotch Lamb PGI and Specially Selected Pork.
In relation to IP addresses, we use this to inform improvements to the website and for internal system administration. By using the QMS website and providing your personal data via the enquiry page or otherwise through the website you are consenting to QMS processing your personal data for these purposes. Will my personal data be shared with any other organisation/third parties and if so, why?
QMS will not share your personal data with any other organisation or third parties without seeking your prior consent. An exception to this would be where we are required to share your personal data in accordance with law or any regulatory requirement to which QMS is subject or where we are undergoing a corporate restructure. Will my personal data be shared outside of the EEA?

QMS works hard to protect your personal data and has adopted appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep it safe from unauthorised disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal data transmitted to QMS via the internet; any transmission is at your own risk. How can I stop QMS using my personal data if I no longer wish to receive communications from QMS?

QMS will keep your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purpose we obtained it for or until such time that you withdraw your consent and exercise your right to request that QMS stops processing your personal data.
