Scotch Beef Burgers
with Rhubarb Ketchup. Nothing quite hits the spot like a burger, especially when it’s homemade using the finest Scotch Beef Mince. The secret of a great burger is using beef which isn’t too lean, otherwise it will dry out and not adding unnecessary ingredients like egg and breadcrumbs (that’s a meatball!). We like to keep our burgers simple, just 100% Scotch Beef with a generous seasoning of salt and pepper then pan fried or BBQ’d until they develop a lovely brown crust. You can really go to town with your condiments though. Here we’ve served it with a wonderful homemade Rhubarb Ketchup – the flavours work incredibly well together. The Ketchup will last for up to 6 months in sterile jars and if you use forced rhubarb it has a gorgeous pink colour.
